Cavalry Field Right Flank Attack

Area of the Right Flank Attack

Image 1: Area of the cavalry field right flank attack. This picture shows a view of the Rummel farm near the area where the final attack on the Confederate right flank occurred. At the climax of the cavalry battle, two squads charged the Confederate right flank in the vicinity of where this picture was taken, while Captain William Miller of the 3rd Pennsylvania charged his squad into the Confederate left. With the Confederates now assailed on three sides, the Confederate cavalry withdrew and the battle petered out.

These photographs were taken with a Nikon F-601 autofocus SLR, using a Nikkor 24mm - 50mm f2.8 wide angle zoom lens or with a Sigma 150mm - 300mm telephoto zoom lens. The image was captured on Kodak Gold 200 film.
